    I am having a problem with the background image in a table within a generic content item.
    I have added an item in my EditorToolsFile.xml:
    <tool name="InsertTable" />
    To allow for adding a new table.

    Now when I add a new table to my content item and select table properties i want to add an image from my preconfigured image library. But when i click on the button next to back image, a window pops up with nothing to select from. Also no button on this new window actually work. So although I can see an upload button for uploading an image. I cannot click on it.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thank you for using our services.

    The issue that you are having comes from the ImageManager that the table tools are using. I will give you a possible solution to this issue.

    1) Go to the Files tab in your Admin side of the website. Create a new folder (for example I have created a folder ~/MyImages/
    2) Upload some images in that folder.
    3) Open your project in Visual Studio and go to ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/
    4) From there you will have to edit the ContentEditView.ascx and ContentNewView.ascx control templates.
    5) In those files find your RadEditor tag <telerik:RadEditor> and edit the ViewPaths, UploadPaths, and DeletePaths of the ImageManager, to point to the images folder you created earlier like this:
    <ImageManager ViewPaths="~/MyImages" UploadPaths="~/MyImages" DeletePaths="~/MyImages" />

    By doing this the select background image button will open an ImageManager that will look for images and folders uploaded in ~/MyImages/ directory. Please, note that it will not be able to brows directories that are not subdirectories of ~/MyImages/.
    6) After editing the above mentioned control templates map them to your ControlsConfig file. You need information on mapping external templates or the templates are not present in your project solution, please take a look here.

    Please let us know if you have more issues, we will be glad to help you.

    Kind regards,
    Rado

    I see, thanks for that Rado.

    Do you know if there is any way i could adjust the radEditor to use the image library that sitefinity uses?

    Perhaps changing the viewpath to something?

    A

    Hello Andrew,

    I understand what you want to do and want to apologize for not being able to provide you with a possible solution to this. To change the dialog that this particular button in the table manager requires a change in the functionality of the RadEditor. I presume you want the same dialog that appears when you click the Image Manager button in the RadEditor toolbar. This button invokes the ImageLibraryDialogue and the behavior for of the button has been modified from the source code.

    However what you are requesting sounds nice to be featured in a future release. We will suggest it on future planning discussion.

    Kind regards,
    Rado
