When looking at the 'For Approval' list, the Modified Date and Modified By fields don't reflect the correct time/date or the person who made the edits. It looks as though the Modified Date is sometimes the create date. Sometimes the Modified By is the person who made the modifications, but usually it contains the ID of the last admin level editor. Are these known issues with the work flow process?

Thanks for the quick reply Ivan. I've got the Modified and Modified By fields on the For Approval page. What's missing is accurate data. The Modified Date and Modified By fields don't match up with who is actually doing the edits.

I have an account that's in the Editors group. I make a change to a page and save it. I click Pages to see the Drafts, For Approval, etc. I click Drafts and find the page I just edited. There are several columns, one is Modified and another is Modified By. The last person who modified it wasn't me and the last modified date isn't when I just made the change.

The people in our Approvers and Publishers groups are trying to find the pages they need to send through the work flow based on who made the edits and when they made them. Shouldn't the Drafts and For Approval views reflect that?

    Thanks,
    DJ

    Hello Dale,

When you use workflow you work with the staged version. The code in the post gets this version and you can use it to display the correct user that has modified the page. If you do not replace the bound columns values the result will not be changed. Generally you could rename the default columns to something more appropriate and add two new columns where you show the actual staged data.
