    Not sure if you and the team is aware of this one.....but....

    When editing a page, I can't click the "publish" button if my page contains a control which has required field validators.

    Specifically,

    <asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="RequiredFieldValidator8" runat="server" ControlToValidate="Email"
                    Display="Dynamic" ErrorMessage="Email address is required."></asp:RequiredFieldValidator>

    Migh I suggest adding the property, "CausesValidtion = FALSE" to the Publish and Preview buttons?

    Thanks,

    Hi CHRIS,

    Indeed, preview and publish buttons should have CausesValidation property set to false. But when using validators it is very handy to use the ValidationGroup property to specify to which controls of the page the validator should cause validation. Check this MSDN article for an example. Actually, my recommendation would be to use this property whenever possible because otherwise you may get hard-to-find problems later.

    Thanks and have a nice day,
