    Hey guys,

I've been playing with the export tool and importing my own template to a new site. I finally got it to setup properly, but I can't login. All the sites I've made via the Project Manager (all with no template) I've been able to log into via an admin user that was established when I installed Sitefinity. I've just created (on a 2nd database) a site that uses an imported template and I cannot use that same admin login to get to the site's dashboard. I don't think this is a database thing, as the admin user isn't the same as the db credentials I used or anything. Any ideas? or password/username recovery?

    Hi Trevor,

If you use IIS 7 and Integrated pipline mode set runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests to true in the web.config. If the problem is in the user's account then you could reset your password .

    Hey,

runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests isn't in my web.config and I'm using IIS 5.1 (on XP). It's not an account thing either... When I'm on the Project Manager page and click to browse or edit a site, I get prompt for a login. My admin account works on EVERY site EXCEPT the site I created using a custom template... I'm just wondering why this is occurring and if there's a known solution.

    Hello Trevor,

Could you check whether the user you use exists inside telerik_users table. If it is there have you tried to reset the password ? If yes what was the result?

"When I'm on the Project Manager page and click to browse or edit a site, I get prompt for a login."

If you get a pop up for login then you should supply your windows credentials to authenticate yourself against windows authentication.

    Kind regards,

Windows Authentication didn't work, I'm signed into the Sitefinity admin (project manager) as domain\myWindowsAccount, but I get the Sitefinity login for the specific website I'm trying to access. I went into my database and checked the dbo.telerik_Users table and its empty... I think this just might need to be cleaned and recreated. I had some system.web.extensions ambiguity earlier during the setup, and I'm thinking it messed up the setup.

Thanks a lot for your time and effort!
