We are evauluating sitefinity for faculty and staff websites at our university. We were hoping to have an install per user for all their webstites.
We really like how sitefinity works from a user perspective, however I am wondering about the installation, maintainance, upgrades etc. can be managed across about 400+ sites initally and eventually could grow to over 1200 sites.
I know we could script the initial installation. But upgrades may be an issue. Is there a way to have one physical installation of sitefinity and have multiple sites through one installation?
Database: We could use sql server express for attaching a database per site, but I dont think that will scale well. If using a dedicated SQL Server, is your recommend design to keep one database per site.
