      Hi,
          First, thank you for getting back so quickly.
          I have the community template.
          I have the black logo in the upper left corner and I dont know how to get to it ?
          I would like to put an image, or at least put "Home" inside of it?
      thanks for your time.

    Hello IQworks,

    The default logo is an image that is located under App_Themes\ModernLight\Images folder - this is the default destination of the image. The Image name is UserGroupLogo.gif. Other related images are /div_logo.gif and /div_logo.png which are added through the theme css. You could remove this image and replace it with yours, but you have to keep the same name if you do not want to make other changes.

    The UserGroupLogo.gif is declared in the CommunityHome.master as shown below

    <p class="userGroupLogo">
    <img src="~/App_Themes/ModernLight/Images/UserGroupLogo.gif" runat="server" alt="UserGroup Logo" />
    </p>

    Sincerely yours,

    Hi IQworks,

    You said "I have the community template".

    Your website uses Community-Summer template, not Community only. There is difference between these templates. Again the logo is set through css in the theme stylesheet

    span.logo, a.logo:link, a.logo:visited, a.logo:hover, a.logo:active
    {
        float: left;
        margin-right: 30px;
        background: #494949 url(Images/logo.gif) no-repeat 50% 50%;
        display: block;
        width: 110px;
        height: 50px;
        overflow: hidden;
        text-indent: -9999px;
    }

    Hi Ivan,
       thanks for this also.
       I see that there are many things you can do with sitefinity,  but some of them requre a little coding. I will look around to see where I can find documentation for these types of things. Or, if you have time, can you suggest a good place to look ? I know you are busy.
    thanks as always

    I have spend several hours trying to change the logo in the template. As a user I expect it to be changeable through Site Admin > Templates. You can add a logo there, but it won't be visible as a result of the CSS that moves everything in the LOGO block 9999 pixels to the left....

    I sincerely hoped that the CMS supported things like this, but now I understand that I have to login and change the logo in the CSS of the style. When I change the style, I loose the logo. Pity. Is this any different in the Pro edition? I feel that more and more that I want needs to be done on the server side, perhaps I just misunderstand the concept? Is the CMS not meant for the end-user / editor?

    Hello Abel Braaksma,

    These are predefined themes and you can change them as you want. For instance you could add the logo by using GenericContent control and you will be able to edit it directly in page editor mode.

    That's what I thought, but that doesn't work. The reason being that the predefined CSS style for the logo is to move any content 9999 pixels to the left (margin-left setting). I guess that it's a (minor) error in the style sheet provided with Sitefinity's out-of-the-box themes.

    I solved it now by manually changing the stylesheet on the server. See line 47 or about in style.css of Summer-Green for instance, under span.logo:

    text-indent: -9999px;
