Seems this solution is related to creating virtual directories for the new project in the Sitefinity Project Manage
r after the Sitefinity
is installed. Sorry for the confusion.
Unfortunately, currently there is no way to tell the installer where to create the virtual directory for the Project Manager
. Therefore it is always trying to put it in the default web site.
As a workaround, you could create the virtual directories manually:
- open the IIS manager and Go to your web site;
- create a virtual directory (web application) 'telerik
' under the web site and map it to 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\telerik\web
- create another virtual directory (web application) 'Sitefinity3.5
' under <your_site>/telerik
and map it to 'C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.5\ProjectManager
'. Enable Windows Authentication for it.
Try to open the Project Manager (http://<your_web_site_domain>/telerik/Sitefinity3.5) to see if you will be able to create projects. If you have already applied the solution from the previous post, your projects will be created under the web site defined in the Sitefinity Project Manager web.config.
