Hi I have just installed Sitefinity Community Edition 3.7 on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 IIS 6. No errors occur during installation however on trying to launch the project manager from the menu I get a 'The page connot be found error' in IE. Screenshot attached.
Both Telerik and Sitefinity virtual folders appear to have been created successfully, screenshots attached.
Prior to this I successfully installed Sitefinity on my development laptop Vista Ultimate 64bit IIS7 following the detailed instructions in the installation. Instructions for Server 2003 point to Windows XP which in turn points to Server 2008?

Any thoughts what my problem might be?

    Many Thanks
    Ken

    Hi Ken Orr,

Could you try adding a simple ASP.NET based website with couple of aspx pages and see if you will get the same error. Also check the Web Service Extensions if you have prohibited any services.

    Hi Radoslav Georgiev
I have built a simple web app without any problems, existing web apps are also functioning correctly
With regard to extensions only ASP.NET & FastCGIHandler are allowed, please see attached screenshot. Is this correct or do I need to allow other extension types?
    Thanks
    Ken

    Hi Ken Orr,

Try allowing Active Server Pages and All Known ISAPI Extensions.

    Hello Ken Orr,

Did you try with some arbitrary .aspx pages on a simple ASP.NET website? There must be some configuration problem between .NET and your IIS. Could you try this command in command prompt: aspnet_regiis -i?

    Hi Radoslav Georgiev
I tried setting up a test website with a few pages and that worked fine
I have just ran aspnet_regiis -i on the server but still have the same problem
    Thanks

    Hi Ken Orr,

Could you try to set up Community Blank project instead of running the Project Manager? It seems that there is some server setting that stops the initialization of the Project Manager and opening the Default.aspx page.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan
I created a blank project on my laptop, zipped the files and installed into sitefinity websites on the server and yes it ran perfectly from http://localhost/xl5portal
I am also able to edit the website http://localhost/xl5portal/sitefinity/login.aspx
So It is only the project manager which has the problem as you suggested.
    Many thanks
    Ken
