    Hi David,

I am not sure what you mean, but I will try to elaborate.

If you for example have Sitefinity 3.5, I will advise you to upgrade to 3.6SP2 without going through all service packs between the two editions. Sometimes there is an upgrade path you should follow, since the changes are too dramatic, but we do not have such case Since Sitefinity 3.1. It is even possible to upgrade from Sitefinity 3.2 to 3.6SP2 directly.

Just let me know about the exact case, and I will let you know about the process.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi

Hi thanks for the reply.  I currently have Sitefinity 3.6 1861 installed on the server.  I am looking to upgrading it to 3.6 1936  SP2.

    Do I need the HotFix 1870,  1920 SP1, then 1927 SP1 Hotfix before doing installing 1936 SP2?

    Thanks
    David

    Hello David,

You can go with SP2 directly without the mid-steps. You should face no problems.
Let me know though if you experience something you believe unusual.

    Hi Georgi
Thanks for the follow up.  The site is hosted on Mosso, and everything is going good so far.  I just have to write a few custom controls and the site will be live next month.  This will be first sitefinity site and it is a community magazine site with blogs, local band, clubs and restaurant reviews.

Oh nice new look to Sitefinity.com, I like it.

    Thanks,
    David

    Hello,

First of all I would like to apologize for possible errors in writing. My english is a bit bad.

My company uses Sitefinity version 3.5 and I need to upgrade to Sitefinity 3.6. Is there any way of manually upgrade using scripts or patches, for example, without running the installer?
    Please, could you help me?

    Thanks for all!

    Hello Jefferson Santos,

Please take a look at our upgrade instructions at http://www.sitefinity.com/support/upgrade-instructions.aspx. To upgrade the database you need to work in full trust level and each time you will pass through project wizard.
