    Two questions in one here...

    1. Is it possible to set the skin of the RADEditor in the page admin? (without creating a new module with that contains our own RADEditor declaration)

    2. I can't seem to get blogs to show in the modules list. Is there something I need to do to turn them on?

    Thanks,

    Pete

You can map the external template for the view you want to modify (How to map a tempalte) and change the Skin property of the declaretively added RadEditor control

Could you elaborate some more about this question. It is not clear where exactly you want to show the blogs - backend /frontend any custom control?

    Hi Ivan,

    Thanks for the fast response!

I had gone the template mapping route but had got mixed up and overriden the Generic Content module (Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Admin.ContentItemNew) rather than the Generic Content Page editor (Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Design.GenericContentDesigner) template. All sorted now, great stuff.

Apologies for the vagueness of my second question. The 'blogs' option is not appearing in the navigation of the modules section in admin. The options I see are
    • Generic Content
    • News
    • Lists
    • Polls
    • Forums
    • Images & Documents
    • Events
    • Newsletters
    • Wiki

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hello PeteM,

Somehow the Blogs module has not be initialized. Check sitefinity.log file located under App_Data folder. There must be some error written there that will show the actual reason of the problem.

    Aha,

The sitefinity.log showed a message of "Missing provider: Books". I have removed the books metafields from the metafields section in the web.config (as a colleague had previously removed the books module from the modules section) and all is well.

    Thanks for your help sir!
