1. Search box property "ResultURL" does not stay populated and therefore the IndexCatalogue query string is not being set. It seems to work if we manually type in a value for the IndexCatalogue query string.
2. Search did not seem to index individual blog post pages. Only the parent page.
3. Using the select page property selector to set ResultURL does not show update property textbox.
4. Using the select page property selector to set the DestinationPageURL in the login control does not save the selected page. It seems if you manually type in a page it works properly.
5. Setting a defaultpageURL is required to prevent an error in the Login Control. This was mentioned earlier. However, this overrides the redirect page.
6. In my search results an item looks like this:
http://localhost/test 3.0/blog.aspx However the link breaks at the "space". The href for the anchor is http://localhost/test
Thanks for all of the hard work. I really like the overlay editing. It does not throw off the layout while in edit mode. This had been an issue in the past.
Sincerely,
Ben

While not a bug...are there plans to create search engine friendly pages for the forums module? Similar to the blogs.

It sounds like your .template is no longer mapped to .Net in the IIS Configuration section. Did you double check that it was?

Hi all,
- Firstly is there going to be a way in the future to be able to create new projects in Vista with UAC enabled? When I try create a project I immediately get this error "The account, you have authenticated with, has no permissions to create
virtual directories. Please make sure that windows authentication is
enabled." And I have the Network Service account has Full Control over the Websites folder and Windows Authentication is definitely enabled. On another PC with the same settings but UAC disabled it works no problem. I know UAC can easily be turned off, but will it be possible at some point in the future to get around this problem?
Anyway at the time I was unable to create a project so I switched to looking at the TIUSite which is very unstable, do you know about that? 1. On any postback in the Page Editor I receive an error about the cmsentrypoint not being called correctly. Therefore I can't add controls, change the theme, cancel, save or anything like that. 2. In the live site when I try click on a Forum I get the "entry point" error and goes to this address: /TIUSite/sitefinity/cmsentrypoint.aspx 3. Edit link at the bottom of the page goes to the live Demo.
Otherwise I didn't find any bugs yet in a site I created myself.
By the way small unrelated issue, in this editor on the forum I now can't use any lists, eg 1, 2, 3 without manually typing them in Firefox 2.0.0.7, thought I would let you know about that in case it isn't just me.
Otherwise great job, I love the basic view for controls, that is going to so much clearer to IT illiterate people, you have set a high standard as always for the rest of us to match!
Exciting stuff all in all!
Keep up the good work!
Cheers Sean

Hi I just read the post in the General Comments section about the TIUsite problems, I wish people would post in the right area, glad you know about them already.
Sorry for reporting something already reported.

Hi Sean,
Thank you for reporting these issues. We intend to provide an ability to create a new project on Vista with UAC enabled. We should research about this problem and hopefully find a solution soon. Since this feature is with low priority, probably we won't manage to include it in version 3.1.

Hi Ben,
Sorry that wasn't aimed at you actually :) And no need to apologise to me anyway it is Telerik who had to read through 2 posts ;)
Vlad, I am glad you will be looking into the problem at some point, but I agree it isn't something that is priority, better to spend your valuable time giving us cool new features instead! But I am sure at some point it would be good for the people like me who can't be bothered turning of UAC to be able to create project :)

Hi,
Actually, we found a work around to create a new project on Vista with UAC enabled: You should start the browser with "Run as administrator" to open the Project Manager.

Hi Vlad,
That sounds good, but for some reason it doesn't work for me? I have tried opening both IE and Firefox with the "Run as Administrator" option, but I still get the same message still? What am I doing wrong? I right click on the Browser, click Run as Administrator and then browse to the Project Manager and try create a new project, then error?
Thanks Sean

Hello Sean,
It's very strange that "Run as administrator" does not work for you. We do the same as you and it works on our Vista testing PC. Please make sure that for http://localhost/telerik/sitefinity3.1: - Windows Authentication is enabled in the IIS - Anonymous Authentication is disabled in the IIS - ASP.NET Impersonation is enabled in the IIS - Forms Authentication is disabled in the IIS - you are using the original Project Manager web.config file
Please let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,

Hi telerik team :)
I'm glad to see the new version of SiteFinity and mainly the Search controls, which I didn't have time to test yet.
I just created a master page, replaced the obsolate sf1:CmsForm with the standart server form, and removed the <div class="cmsWrapper">. After that I uploaded the master page to create a template. But when I tried to edit the template the whole area was darkened so I couldn't drag and drop controls to it's contentplaceholders from the toolbox. Could you give a suggestion what the problem may be?
Note that this does not happen with the default template shipped with SiteFinity. While editing it the page is darkened but the contenplaceholders are not and I can put controls in them.

Well, I just posted this problem about the not-working-contentplaceholders inside another forum topic. Didn't see this thread for Sitefinity 3.1. Sorry!

Hi guys,
Firstly Telerik, nope I still can't get "Run as Administrator" to work, I have the ProjectManager set up in IIS as you said! Has anyone else got it to work?
Daniel and Niki, I had this problem when 3.0 SP1 first came out with the place holders it was fixed but must be broken again in the beta. If you remove any characters between the ContentPlaceHolder tags that will fix your problem eg:
| <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="TopMenu" runat="server"></asp:ContentPlaceHolder> |
So everything should be on one line.

Hi again,
I just wanted to test the new control Search Box, I dragged and dropped to the page but I can not open the properties window. When I move with the mouse over it the Edit link appears but when I move the mouse towards it in order to click it disappears. For the same reason I can not even remove the control from the page.
This bug appears in IE7. I tested it in the latest FireFox and Opera and it works fine.

Hi Nikolay,
Unfortunately we can't reproduce the described behavior. Do you have this problem with all Toolbox controls or it is a Search Box related issue?
Also, could you please send us your master page and the necessary css files to figure out what is wrong?
Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

Hi Pepi
I forgot to mention that this behaviour appears only in Overlay edit mode but it is obvious.
I think that this is caused by my html in the master page or by the css files. This not happens when I use your Default template.

Sorry for posting again but I do not see any edit feature.
This behaviour appeared only in some toolbox controls, I do not remember which of them, but not in all.
Congratulations for the new version, some of the new features are very good.

Hi Niki,
The reason for the described behavior is not in the master page but in the css. Try to comment margin-left: 160px; for the div with ID content. This is a known issue and we are investigating it.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,
After upgrading from SP2 the content from the second language is lost. The navigation labels, description, etc. are still there in the right language, but the content is always in the default language. When I edit the page in the second language, neither a template is selected nor any kind of content is available. It seems as it is a new page, but it was there in SP2.
Is it a bug or did I do something wrong?
Thanks, Mat

Hello Mat,
Can you please open a support ticket and attach the original project and database so we can try to upgrade it here and see what the problem is? You can remove the RadControls folder to shorten the file.

Hello everyone,
today I have a problem with adding generic content to the shared content list.
Problem 1: When I share a content, give it a name etc. and then go to the Modules > Generic Content List, there is no name of the content there. The Discription and the Author are saved, but not the name.
Problem 2: I was unable to add more than 4 generic contents as shared items.
Is this already a known problem?

Hi Milen,
1. This is a known issue and we are currently investigating it.
2. Could you provide a more detailed explanation of the steps you undertook before encountering this? Also, do you mean that you have 4 Generic Content controls on the page and you couldn't share all of them or the scenario is different.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance.
