I have a client who wants to move to the rackspace cloud with a 3.x instance, then upgrade to 5.x later this year

    So they have two cloud options, Server 2008 R2 w\sql 2008 and Server 2008 R2 w\sql 2012

Id like to move to the latest and greatest if I could...since she always seems to be running old stuff

The Nolics.ORMapper which is providing the support for Sitefinity 3 database connections doesn`t support SQL Server 2012 as it is a retired project now. Even Sitefinity4 dond`t have support for SQL Server 2012 untiull the ORM Sitefinity4 is using called OpenAcess started support for SQL Server 2012 in the first release of OpenAccess for 2012 in january, untill then there was no support for SQL server 2012.
