    I am trying to alter the SiteMenu control to output a unique class name for each menu item -- either within the <li> or <a> tag. Like this:

    <div id="nav">
    <li class="menu1"><a href="">Menu1</a></li>
    <li class="menu2"><a href="">Menu2</a></li>
    <li class="menu3 selected"><a href="">Menu3</a></li>
    <li class="menu4"><a href="">Menu4</a></li>

    Anyone tackle this problem?

    Hello First Last,

    The underlying control is RadMenu, so you could possibly achieve the same with templates.  You can read more about templates and css styling in the RadMenu documentation.

    As an alternative, you could implement a control yourself (with a Repeater, possibly), but it would be more difficult.

    All the best,
    the Telerik team
