We have just updated to 4.1 and we are importing a set of existing controls. Our controls are all in one assembly. Will we be able to import that into Sitefinity?

Another related question is: how do we deploy updates to our controls? Do we just need to copy the new control, or do we need to remove and re-add it in the Settings - Toolboxes - Sections?

    Hello Eric,

It does not matter from how many assemblies the controls comes from. The  important part is that the controls should be registered properly through the configurations which updates App_Data/Sitefinity/Configuration/ToolboxesConfig.config

To update the controls you can just make modifications to the ascx, cs and js files ( the control implementation)
