We already added a custom field to our news module, now we have to extend the news categories with a custom (boolean) field.
    Is this possible in SiteFinity?

    Kind regards

    Hi John Heins,

What kind of filed you have added to your news module - metafield or?

ICategory is an interface which specifies the needed members of any object that wishes to act as a Generic Content Category in Sitefinity it does not accept boolean type values. You could create a new metakey of boolean type and use it instead - because you will have onlly to options true or false.

    Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your reply, I have added a custom boolean meta field in our news module.
We're wondering if it is possible to also add a custom meta field to the generic content categories.

Then we have to use a second boolean meta data field in our news module to do this, since ICategory does not accept custom properties.

    Thanks in advance
    Kind regards

    Hello John Heins,

You will need a second boolean metafiled. You can use DripDownList control that will automatically shows true and false ListItems. Then you can get or set the values using GetMetaData or SetMetaData in a custom logic.
