I have extended the "GenericContent" control and all is well except for the "Advanced" tab of the control editor. Currently the ID property is the "default" (has a bold label and dotted border) but the default be another property.

Is there an attribute I'm missing to use on my property? Other controls have different defaults but I cannot determine why.

    Hi Matthew Hensley,

GenericContent control inherits from WebControl and the property is set not inside GenericContent. You can change the default property by setting [System.ComponentModel.DefaultProperty("PropertyName")] to your custom class.
