    Hello,
I am curious as to how I would go about creating more advanced Property Pages for custom controls.  For example the SitefinityImage has a 'Basic' tab that allows a user to either upload an image or select an image from the filesystem where as the Advanced Tab allows the user to work directly with (mostly) the properties of the Image control.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Doug,

The tabs are automatically generated by the ControlDesigner base class. Actually, you may have only two tabs for user/custom controls - Basic and Advanced ( or Properties). Currently you may group the properties only by Category.

You may have more tabs in case you are creating WebUITypeEditors, which actually can be used as a part of User/Custom controls. In the template of the WebUITypeEditor you could add RadTabStrip control with RadMultiPage and RadPageView.

You could create a control designer and there implement different tabs with settings as we have done for some of the ContentView based controls - NewsView, BlogPosts, EventsView.

    Best wishes,

    Hey Ivan,
Thanks for the response and sorry for the RTFM question.  Been a long day and just realized there is an entire section in the developer documentation about this.  http://www.sitefinity.com/help/developer-manual/control-adding-controls-designers.html Thanks none the less.
