I think this should be simple, but I must be missing something...

I'm playing with the demo site and I'm trying to create a news view template like the "CommunityJobsListHome.ascx" template.

In my first test, I'm just trying to copy this template and change the heading from "Jobs:" to "Test:"

I made a copy of the /Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/News/CommunityJobsListHome.ascx and edited the file. When I try and use it, though, I get an error message in the event log (the page yellow-screens) that says: Default template is not yet supported.

I tried searching the forum for an answer, but couldn't find anything that looked like what I was running into. Any thoughts?

    Hello Rob Prokopy,

the message you are getting indicates that custom template cannot be found. Please double check your spelling since a typo or something could happen.

If this does not solve the issue, please let me know which version of Sitefinity you are using and I'll send you a quick video demonstrating how to do this.

    Best wishes,
    Ivan

Ugh -- I can't believe I missed that. You were right. When I renamed the copied file, I mistyped the new file name. When I entered the value into the advanced settings, I typed it correctly. Sometimes it's the simple things we forget to check.

    Thanks for the tip!
