I searching to build one Dataset of the contents metafileds using a direct access by ID (sf_GCMetadata) but the multidimensional database is not clear for me. How to build this query to build this dataset,is grouping?. I have not found the solution to build this dataset using GetContent methods. I need one solution that generate one Ienumerate solution like Dataset or DataTable.

    Hi Pierre,

What do you need this for? Isn't the data API enough? By the way, all methods in managers that return more than one item return an IList. IList implements IEnumerable. I suppose you want to use it for data binding. The returned IList could be filtered with LINQ, and the query result made a data source.

We do not use SQL queries directly, we use Nolics.NET for this purpose, as it provides nice features, such as forward mapping. In the next version of Sitefinity, we are going to use another ORM solution - OpenAccess. Since you have purchased a Sitefinity license, you already have a license to use Nolics.NET in your Sitefinity projects. I suggest you use either OpenAccess or Nolics.NET instead of using pure SQL. If you are working with the Sitefinity data layer, it is best to use the provided API.

    Sincerely yours,
