Another question!  Is there an easy way to disable the 'Quotes' in the Sitefinity Forums module, and only keep the 'Content' editor?  I've tried various methods of hiding the 'Quotes' radEditor, but it doesn't seem to make a difference since the quoted text is posted even if the radEditor is hidden.

    Hello Martin,

All you need to do is modify the following files:
    For the admin part:
    ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Forums/ControlPanelCreatePostTemplate.ascx
    ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Forums/ControlPanelEditPostTemplate.ascx
    ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Forums/PostEditorTemplate.ascx

    For the public part:
    ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Forums/EditPost.ascx

Please find the modified templates attached to this thread.

    Kind regards,
    Rebecca

I'm working with Martin on this.

This change works fine for the Forums control, but we're using the individual SingleForum, SingleThread and EditPost controls.  When I copy the new code in the reply page no longer appears.  Any ideas on this?

    Hello Jason M,

You are right, the EditPost control behaves differently compared to Forums in this case, and unfortunately you cannot remove the quote RadEditor when using this control. For future versions, we will implement functionality where you will be able to choose whether to include quotes with the replies or not. Currently, there is another thing you can do - use the Forums control instead of the EditPost control. As you may know, it has all the functionality of the other controls, and in your case you can keep the rest, but substitute EditPost with Forums, so that it only takes the role of a single control. Since all controls use the same templates, you should be able to achieve the functionality you want.

Make sure to set the respective properties and set the pages containing the other controls. For more information refer to this KB article: http://www.sitefinity.com/support/knowledge-base/kb-article/b1154K-mec-b1154T-cgh.aspx.

    Best wishes,
