I'm new to sitefinity and trying to get a site developed for a client. I'm having some trouble linking existing modules and custom modules in a one to many relationship.

What i am trying to do is have an Event that has one or many event speakers (speakers have name and short bio which i have already built as a custom module) and the event can also have multiple documents attached to the event for the client side to download. Effectively I don't know how to get the relationships to work and can't find any relevant examples in the documentation or online help. If anyone can be of assitance I would be very appreciative.

    Hi Luke Horan,

Generally you can use the built-in module - Events by adding several metakeys to it - User Manual page 219
You will have an Event, the speaker and file attachments will be just metakeys. You can use ButtonSelector control to make a reference to Image and Documents module or to your File system.

You can have relations between modules based on item IDs and providers. In the backend we use QueryStrings where the item ID is appended as a parameter, so you can easily navigate among views in the context of the same or another module.

    Best wishes,
