    Hello,
    I'm new to Sitefinity developement and i have installed the latest evaluation version (community 3.7) .

    I was then reading the developer manual and learned that i should open the "website" folder to see the site as a native .net application
    http://www.sitefinity.com/help/developer-manual/opening-sitefinity-project-in-vs.html
    Well, when i did, that folder was empty. Does the doc need some update?

    Thanks
    /Kadji

    Hello Kadji Okou,

    Thank you for using our services.

    After you have run the installer did you open the project manager to create a website? When you run the installer it creates a website on your local IIS from which it runs the project manager to create Sitefinity based websites. The default path is http://localhost/telerik/Sitefinity3.7.Community. You must first open the project manager to create websites, and then open them in VS.

    Hello Kadji Okou,

    Check whether the code behind of the master page looks as shown below

    public partial class _DefaultMaster : System.Web.UI.MasterPage
    {
        ///
    }

    Your Inherits attribute does not match the code behind of the master page. You can use VS to generate a master page and Place the code behind in a separate file.

    Sincerely yours,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    Ok, As i showed earlier, there is no master page in the root (community) folder. Are you refering to the
    C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.7 Community\ProjectManager? the master page there has the below shown content:
    using System;
    using System.Data;
    using System.Configuration;
    using System.Collections;
    using System.Web;
    using System.Web.Security;
    using System.Web.UI;
    using System.Web.UI.WebControls;
    using System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts;
    using System.Web.UI.HtmlControls;

    public partial class _DefaultMaster : System.Web.UI.MasterPage
    {
        protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {

        }
    }
