    Hi Paul Markham,

The PageName is the url/title of a page and it is included in the search index results. By default the SearchIndex includes

    • title
    • path
    • keywords
    • description
    for each page.

That doesn't sound right! I'm talking about words that can be searched for, not things that can be displayed in a SearchResults pane. Are you?

Anyway, what I actually want to do is include pages' Menu Labels in a search index, and not the Page Name as I said.

For instance, if a page has the Menu Label 'About Us', but does not contain the word 'about' anywhere on the page, I want it to be a search result for a search for 'about'.

    Is this possible?

    Hello Paul Markham,

As far as I see it you asked:

"Is there a way to include the Page Name property in a search index?" - preview your first post.

    Now you are telling that

Anyway, what I actually want to do is include pages' Menu Labels in a search index, and not the Page Name as I said.

Could you clarify what you want to include in the index?

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov

Sorry, perhaps I should have started a new thread.

I want to include a page's Menu Label in the content that is indexed.

    Hello Paul Markham,

The easiest way to do this is to filter the search results. You could add the guild of a page to the snippet and extract it. Then using the CmsManager you could get the page Id and its MenuName and alter the output of the SearchResults. You could take a look at extending-searchresult
