I was given a site that was built in Sitefinity and it has a field on all Blogs called Reporter that as long as create a page and give it the category Reporter you can associate that person with the Blog. OK here is my problem we have several blogs and on one of the blogs we do not want associate with a Reporter we want it to be something else.

So my question is where do I find the code where they added the Reporters Metafield and I should from there be able to add or remove field as needed.

What is best practice for changing the Blogs form? For example I create a Blog called Steve and my first post on that blog is House and on this post I want to associate the roofer with it how do I change the form to allow me to add James the roofer add Category called Contractors and maybe associate a picture with it. What would be best practice in Sitefinity.

    Hi Steven Lancaster,

Unfortunately the meta fields for each generic content provider are available for all items in it. In this line of thought you cannot have one blog having certain set of meta fields and another blog having another set of meta fields. In order to have this you will have to add another Blogs provider to your collection of Generic Contentent based providers. Then for this provider you will be able to define the meta fields which you want to use.

Otherwise, you can add new meta fields to your blogs, and not necessarily set them for each blog post. For more information on how to introduce new meta fields to modules you can check this help article: Add Custom Meta Fields.

    Sincerely yours,
