    Hi,

in one of my control i used a Update panel and Timer control to automatically refresh after some time. Everything works perfect as i was looking for, But when i checked the PageViews on each timer tick the page view is incremented.
well..can anyone please suggest me how to avoid this. i just want to refresh that specif portion of my page within update panel and it shouldn't increment any hits etc.

    Hello Muhammad Saqib,

Actually the page goes through all events of its life cycle, but you do not see this on the client. This is why the hits value increase on each update of the panel.

    Hi Muhammad Saqib,

Unfortunately there is no workaround, this is how the AJAX framework works. There is illusion that only part of the page updates, but actually you receive the whole html, which means that all server side code is run and this counts as a normal page view.

    Best wishes,
