How do I cantch and display errors when using the RadAjaxManager?

I am using a RadGrid in and a LinqDataSource to display/insert/update data.

It is possible for an error to occour when the user tries to insert a new record.

I can see the error in the bowser error console. (Firefox)

How can I catch the error client side so that I can display the error to the user?

I have tried to put alert(e.message) into the OnAjaxRequestError event of the RadAjaxManager but it does not seem to fire.

    Is OnAjaxRequestError a valid event?

    Hello Mark,

For more information on error handling with ajax you can refer to this help topic

However, I suggest that you disable ajax and see if you receive any server-side errors first. When you make sure the page is running properly with regular postbacks, you can turn the ajax back on.

    I hope this helps.
