I currently have a news module on my home page in a small div on the lower right.
    See example here.

When I select an item the story opens up in the same place.  What if I wanted to redirect it so that the story would go to a separate page that might have all of might news storys and categories as well as the full current story I selected.

    How would I achieve this?

    Hi Troy Lawrence,

The built-in NewsView control has a property under News settings - . You could create a new page, which will hold the full data of your selected item and then set the above mentioned property. On the newly created page you could drop two NewsView controls. The first one should be set to use BehaviorMode - Details. The second one should use BehaviorMode - Master. You have to set the mode explicitly for both controls. You can do this from the Advanced tab of the control designer.
By doing so, when you click on a news  item from your home page, you will be redirected to a new page ( the page where you have two NewsView controls) where you will see the selected item in details mode and list of all news items.

    Best wishes,
