    Hi

When I enter content in the News item and create a link using the link button in the editor or even when I type in the html, the link gets messed up. The sfref gets added to the <a> tag and when I click on it doesnt work - the page is not found. Here is an example.

I create the link ~/home/test/testpage.aspx as follows:
    <a href=" ~/home/test/testpage.aspx">Test Page </a>
When I save the content a sfref gets added and this becomes:
    <a href="/home/test/testpage.aspx" sfref=" ~/home/test/testpage.aspx">Test Page </a>

This throws a 404 when  I click on the link.
I tried selecting the page using the link interface in the editor - this doesnt work either.

    Thanks.

    Kalpana

    Hello Kalpana,

I am not able to reproduce the problem you have testing under version 3.6. Sfref is used to track dynamic pages and it should be in the link, because if your rename or move the page later you will get 404.

    Best wishes,

We are getting the same issue.  Its seems it is adding the wrong path to reference. for instance if you link to a page within the site that is not in that very same sub section. it will insert the wrong path.

Sorry I normally include that information. We are running sitefinity version Sitefinity 3.5.1747.  I had the same error in IE8 and FF 3.0.10 browsers.

The linking does seem to work fine when adding one within a generic content control

    Hi Aaron,

We sent you a workaround in the other thread which you have opened for the version you use. We recommend you to upgrade your web site though.
