I'm using the "external pages" function to link to some PDF's (needed links to documents as sub-navigation in a menu) but there doesn't appear to be a way to set attributes such as target="_blank" or rel="whatever" etc.

Is it possible for someone with virtually zero .NET (or ASP) experience to create a way to write in a rel="external" attribute on certain (not all) external page links? I can then use JavaScript to add the target="_blank" unobtrusively.

    Hello Christopher,

We had a similar inquiry some time ago. Please refer to Menu Link Opens in a New Window forum thread. The code discussed there basically adds javascript to the "external links" on some criteria.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have some questions, or meet any difficulties, we would be glad to assist you.

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team
