I am looking to build an online publication site that offers content based on "subscription." I am wondering how hard this would be to do with Sitefinity. I know that InstaOrder offers downloadable content options (like if we wanted to offer the publication as a PDF file for example), but what about tying ecommerce to user access? How difficult would it be to limit access to areas of the site based on paid membership?

    Hello Kane,

Everything depends on the implementation and permissions granularity you want to have. You can use standard HttpHandler or HttpModule to prevent direct access to any resource. You might find this post useful -How do you preventing direct linking to website files
