I am using SQL Server 2005 and install a new blank project by selecting SQL express,it creates a new instance for that and it setup the database itself, I am not able to fetch the database name .

In web.config it shows the database name sitefinity but there are three projects each one are setup through sql express and each having database name sitefinity so how can I create database backup for each project separately.

I am new in handling SQl server so please help to sort out this..

    Hello sweety,

The database name for each SQL Express database is the same, however the path is different for each one. If you take a look at the connection string you will see that the path to the catalog starts with AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Sitefinity.mdf. For each of your Sitefinity websites the data directory is ~/App_Data located in the root of the website.

    Sincerely yours,
    Radoslav Georgiev
