    Hi all,

Is it possible to do the following:

I've a database with membership information. For this I will write a custom membershipprovider.
Users in this database should be able to register and login on the website.
Once they are active users, they should have rights on certain parts of the website, including their own profile.

All users have the same permissions for the secured pages.

How can I achieve this? Do I need a custom RoleProvider also? There are no different roles.
You are either 'authorized' or not.

Hope to hear some thoughts on this.

    Hi Daniel,

You should have Membership and Role provider. You cannot set permissions if you do not have a role provider. You have to register your custom providers in <membership> and <roleManager> sections of the web.config. Sitefinity will automatically get them and you will be able to set permissions over your custom provider roles for a given object or provider.
