    Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of upgrading a v3.1 site to the latest v3.5 SP1. Now that Sitefinity uses only RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (based on the release notes), I understand that the /RadControls folder is no longer used. It's not even in the blank project for v3.5 so I'm assuming it can go.

Can this folder be removed from the project/website completely? Has anyone tried this yet on an upgraded project?  I'm trying to keep my upgraded solutions as clean as possible.

    Hello Kevin Pipher,

The RadControls folder can be removed from the website root, because of moving from the ASP.NET to the Ajax framework of the Telerik.Web.UI suite. You should change associated aliases with namespaces and  assemblies.

    Here is an example:

Old versions that use RadControls for ASP

    <%@ Register TagPrefix="radM" Namespace="Telerik.WebControls" Assembly="RadMenu.Net2" %>

New versions taht use Ajax framework of the Telerik.Web.UI suite.

    <%@ Register TagPrefix="telerik" Assembly="Telerik.Web.UI" Namespace="Telerik.Web.UI" %>

    I hope this helps.
